Mental Health First Aid- Two Day Training Certification

Suzanne has conducted over 150 training events  and certified over 3000 participants since January 2014.  Events have taken place in communities all across Ontario.  This represents close to 10% of all Mental Health First Aid- Basic training events in Canada!

West Parry Sound Health Centre, 2014/2015
Built and provided a series of weekly 15 minute in-service modules for Health Centre staff that build on the social determinants of health framework, the impact of toxic stress on chronic illness, mental illness and addiction. Modules included core concepts in mental health & addictions and addressed stigma & hands on strategies that can help.  The initiative was evaluated through a  collaborative partnership with the Mental Health Commission of Canada, West Parry Sound Health Centre and Addiction Outreach Muskoka Parry Sound.
